In Memory

It's hard to believe, but 64 years ago today my big sister, Sheryl Jeanne, was born. She died from Cystic Fibrosis when I was just 10 months old, shortly before her 8th birthday. She was everybody's angel ... just about as perfect as a child could be.
I'm sure that my memories are imagined, but she has always been kept alive to me through stories and photos.
She loved me and was my "little mother," playing, teasing, and even helping change my diapers.
I'm told that I became quite ill and stopped eating after her death. The doctors told my Mom that I was suffering from her loss.
I look forward to the day when we will meet again and will embrace in the love that only sisters can understand.

I can't wait to meet my namesake...I'm sure she's quite the amazing person, if she's anything like her mother or sisters.

Too bad Mom doesn'thave internet to see this blog. She would love it.She always helped us to feel that Sheryl was real in our lives even though she died before I was born.

What a wonderful post. I have always loved hearing stories about her and seeing photos. She must have been a magnificent daughter and sister!

Wendy this is beautful. I'm so glad you named your daughter for her. Aren't families a beautiful gift from our Heavenly Father?

Thank you for sharing this.
